The Millkraft is the brainchild of mine host, Brain Thompson, former proprietor of Millkraft Thompson, one of Australia's leading boat builders.
Under Brian's directorship, this Bulimba ship yard has constructed such notable vessels as the Paddle wheeler 'Kookaburra Queen', the 'Ulysses', the 'Odyssey', and the 'Tarquin'.
Brain's insistence on perfection is clearly reflected in the fine lines and classic interiors of the magnificent 'M.V. Millkraft'.
The MV Millkraft has been a popular choice for cruises for over fifteen years and is the only charter that is a member of the Brisbane Tourism Association.
Current owners, Bob and Penny Edwards, have many years experience showing visitors the beautiful sites of the Great Barrier Reef. Bob is a skilled fisherman and is always keen to show charterers the fine art of fishing, especially along the Queensland coast.
Both Bob and Penny have also had much experience in planning on-board parties and other special events. Each event is personalised and tailored to your individual needs. You can plan anything from a romantic dinner for two to a soiree for over fifty people.
